Adventure of a Lifetime!

Adventure and Expedition Rangers, how would you like to attend a national camp specially designed for you? Would you be interested in waterskiing, rock climbing, rappelling, archery, swimming, paintball, mountain biking, woodworking, or shooting BB guns, air rifles, .22 caliber rifles or black powder rifles? These are some of the exciting activities you can participate in at the Eagle Rock Adventure Camp scheduled for June 24-29, 2007. You will receive top-notch instruction as you work on the merits for the above activities. We will pilot some new merits (Advanced Archery, Rappelling, and Paintball) allowing you be some of the first to earn them in the country.  There will also be time for swimming, special games, and making new friends.

Imagine yourself staying at the Deaverton Old West town at Camp Eagle Rock. All meals will be provided by the camp staff at the Johnnie Barnes dining hall, allowing you more time to participate in the great activities. The camp will start Sunday afternoon with a pizza party as you get to know other Rangers from around the country. The first evening will kick off with a special Council Fire service followed by great devotions each morning and evening.

We have expanded the number of tracks you may choose from.  Do any of these activity tracks sound interesting to you?

  • Track A: (Rappelling, Rock Climbing) Also Low Ropes, High Ropes
  • Track B: (Mountain Biking, Paintball)
  • Track C: (Shooting Safety, BB Gun, Air Rifle)
  • Track D: (Smallbore Rifle, Safety & Shooting)
  • Track E: (Blackpowder Rifle, Safety & Shooting)
  • Track F: (Swimming, Water Skiing, Carpentry)
  • Track G: (Archery, Advanced Archery, Carpentry)

Each of the seven tracks will be limited to 20 campers. This will allow for individual instruction and a great learning experience. Campers must be current Adventure or Expedition Rangers to attend, due to the high action level of the camp. The camp fee of $200 covers five nights of camping, 14 meals, all equipment necessary for each track, and a top-notch staff to give you the best camping experience of your life. Track C, D, E, and G (shooting disciplines) will allow each camper to compete in the national championships.
