Expedition High Action Rangers

High Action Rangers physically and mentally challenges young men. This program uses the outdoors to promote growth and develompent in all aspects of their lives. Rangers use the outdoor skills learned in the younger Royal Rangers groups, and teach these skills to those who have not been involved with Royal Rangers. High Action Rangers are encouraged to be involved in both Royal Rangers and the church's youth ministry. These young men build upon their experience with rappelling, whitewater rafting, kayaking, mountaineering, paintball, and many other activities. Rangers are challenged to achieve, using life lessons to help them grow and mature as young men of God.

The young men are given the opportunity to grow into leaders with a lifelong commitment to Christian service. Young men are challenged and stretched to develop character, competence in outdoor skills, spiritual growth, and attention to personal habits. They learn to be faithful in small things, to be builders, team players, and servants. For example, tappelling without taking care of the small things, like proper knots and webbing can lead to disaster.

High Action Rangers' purpose is to build young men with the principles, character, competence, and charisma they need to reach their peers and impact their communities for Christ.

By experiencing activities and adventures that test his ability to adapt, but not endager him, each Ranger grows and learns to help others. These young men will lead in their own peer groups, and share what they have learned and experienced with the younger boys.

The Expedition Rangers Handbook contains complete details on the High Action Rangers program plan, uniforms, needed materials, requirements and awards.
