I have a question for you. “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?” Is that profound or what? Believe it or not, I think it’s a fair question to ask. Here’s the reason why: I’ve met some very old young people and some very young old people!
On the home page of our web-site: www.sam.ag.org, I post a quote of the week. It is amazing how many of these have to do with age! Here are just a few that I have listed:
“I have long thought that the aging process could be slowed down if it had to work its way through Congress.” (George H. W. Bush – former U.S. President)
“When I grow up, I want to be a little boy.” (Joseph Heller – U.S. novelist)
“The best age is the age you are!” (Maggie Kuhn – U.S. social worker)
“You’re not too old until it takes longer to rest up than it does to get tired!” (Phog Allen – U.S. college basketball coach)
“An old young man will be a young old man.” (Benjamin Franklin – U.S. statesman)
No wonder Mark Twain once said: “Age is a matter of the mind. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter!”
How wonderful to know that in this marvelous season of our lives, our lives are in the sovereign hands of the ONE who created every season. Every day is a GIFT from God!
One of the greatest ways to stay young is to surround yourself with other young people.
That’s why our Senior Adult Ministries department is planning our second national Celebration of Music. It will be held here in Springfield, Missouri, at Central Assembly of God on April 3-5, 2006. (The way time flies, it will be here next week!)
Are your ready for this? Our special guests will be the original COURIERS — DAVE, DUANE, and NEIL from Pennsylvania. They will be celebrating over 50 years of ministry with us.
Begin NOW to make your plans to join us for these exciting 3 days of special music and ministry geared to our season of life.
All of the information you need to know is included in this issue of PRIMELINE. We have planned this Celebration of Music for you — we hope to see you in April 2006.
Have a wonderful year in Jesus!
