$2001 in 2001
King's Way Assembly of God
Cape Coral, Florida
When we came to King's Way Assembly of God, I was talking with my pastor about a realistic goal for BGMC in 2001. I had settled on $800 as a reasonable goal and went about praying that God would allow us to meet that goal.
Pete Beaulieu and I met before he went up on the billboard and he agreed to come do one night of our Kids Missions Convention. He came out and challenged our kids to give the amount they knew they couldn't do personally. He also challenged me to believe that God would do bigger and mightier things than I figured. So together with the kids I prayed and what we put down in Faith Promises amazed me.
As I added up $1 yearly pledges and $250 yearly pledges I was astonished at the number that it all added up to, $2001. I added it again to make sure that I didn't miss something somewhere and come up with that odd number. But it came out the same.
God truly knows better than I do when it comes to how much our kids can give to missions. In November they gave over $70. In December they gave over $115. I can't wait until next month when we start on our road to $2,001. The kids love it and so do I.
