Rock-A-Thon for BGMC
Bethesda Assembly of God
Waxahatchie, Texas
I just wanted to let you know some exciting news. I am the Children's Pastor at Bethesda Assembly of God in Waxahachie, TX. Friday April 5-Saturday April 6th our kids participated in a rock-a-thon to raise money for BGMC. Our kids, ranging from ages 3-12 years old, rocked in rocking chairs for 12 hours to raise monies for their faith promises.
I must tell you that this year was the first year that our kids have done faith promises. We have been teaching them to trust God to help them to meet their faith promise. Honestly, our kids largest faith promise was $100. However, this weekend's rock-a-thon was a booming success and our kids have received sponsors totaling over $2200!
Additionally, almost all of our kids have met their faith promises already and know now even better how to test God and know that He is always able to provide. Our church's total giving last year was over $3100 and already if all funds come in for the rock-a-thon we will be at this point. We are trusting God to help us bust $5000 for BGMC.
It is exciting to see God make things happen when we trust Him. We did take pictures of the entire evening if you would like copies of some emailed to you. God bless you and we wanted everyone to know what God is doing at Bethesda.
Thanks,
Jonathan and Merijha Greene
