Earning & Learning
We have 21 kids committed to earning $5 a month for BGMC. Two boys already have gone to work. They decided to go out shoe shining on a Saturday. Each made $10, which helped them meet their goal for two months. Last night one of the boys came to me and gave me another $10 and said he had met his goal for the future. He asked the owners of his mom's work if he could help them with anything. They said they would pay him $3 an hour to vacuum. He vacuumed for three hours, and then they threw in an extra dollar. All that to say God is providing and proving himself to our kids. When they give of themselves and work hard, God meets their needs. How much more awesome for a kid to learn these life lessons than to just ask Mom or Dad for five bucks!
