David and Mary Boyd

The Boyds have been involved in Children's Ministries for over 28 years. Since 1999, they have served as the directors of the National Children's Ministries Agency for the Assemblies of God and directors of BGMC. Mary's primary responsibility is serving as the National BGMC Coordinator. Prior to coming to the Assemblies of God national office, they were full-time children's pastors in three great churches for 19 years. Most recently, they were in Fort Myers, Florida with Pastor Dan Betzer. They previously served in Adrian, Michigan and Bismarck, North Dakota.

David and Mary are both graduates of North Central University. David has a B.S. in Pastoral Studies. Mary has a B.S. in Christian Education and an A.A. in Early Childhood Education. Both David and Mary also have their Master of Arts degrees in Theological Studies from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.

All the children's ministries programs under the Boyd's supervision saw incredible growth. They have had as many as 320 volunteer workers under them at one time while staffing over 90 children's classes per week. All of the churches they were involved in also had bus ministries with as many as over 200 kids coming on the buses each week.

The Boyds use puppets, characters, gospel illusions, object lessons, ventriloquism, PowerPoint presentations, and more to present the gospel in creative ways. They have a deep desire to see children filled with the Holy Spirit and have a deep walk and ministry with the Lord. The Boyds desire to see kids so spiritually strong that they will live for God their entire lives.

David and Mary have authored 20 books, including materials on leading children into the baptism in the Holy Spirit and various other children's ministries resources. Their books have been translated into several languages around the world. They have also written for numerous Assemblies of God publications and other curriculums.

The Boyds have been guest speakers at numerous conventions, retreats, camps, Pow-Wows, Powettes, and other children's ministry endeavors both here in the U. S. and around the world. They have a big heart for missions, training teachers, and touching the lives of children. They have written materials for BGMC for a number of years and have always had their churches involved in giving to BGMC. David and Mary have been to countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe teaching and training others in children's ministries.
