Record Number of Tornadoes Sweep Through Midwest & South
Thu, 14 May 2009 - 3:29 PM CST
The National Weather Service reports that, during the first
11 days of May, more than 380 tornadoes battered the Midwest
and Southern states. At least 45 people lost their lives,
many were injured, hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed,
and some Assemblies of God churches were damaged or destroyed.
The Benevolences Disaster Relief ministry teamed up with
Convoy of Hope and other Disaster Response ministries to help
the victims. These photos show some of the damage done by
these tornadoes.
