David and Sharon Faris have been missionaries to Chad, Africa as a couple since 1996. Before then, David began his missionary career with Wycliffe Bible Translators twenty years ago, in 1988. However, in 2008 they resigned from Wycliffe and are now full-fledged AGWM missionaries.
They are working to return to Chad where they will continue their original work of Bible translation and language development work into a Chadian language group which has been affected by the DarFur crisis.
In addition, they are trusting the Lord to help them to reach out through community development, and to start a Christian radio station and printshop in northern Chad, which will require additional support.
As with all AGWM missionaries, they have a time limit in which they will need to raise their full support if they are to return to Chad in 2009.
