ASSEMBLIES OF GODMost people agree that prayer is important, however, some people don’t pray because, with so much to pray about, they don’t know where to start. They are overwhelmed before they begin.
Prayers often are more effective when they have focus or direction. Jesus himself emphasized this when He taught His disciples to pray. In the Lord’s Prayer He listed specific things to pray about—honoring God, doing His will, daily provision, and deliverance from temptation.
“Ways to Pray” provides a number of prayer guides that will help you pray meaningfully for your pastor, church family, ministries in the church, and mission outreaches at home and abroad. Of course, you will think of other things that relate to your particular situation or that reflect a burden in your heart; “Ways to Pray” simply is available to give additional scope and focus to your prayers.
