First Assembly of God sits on the rolling hills of East Texas beneath the Pines and Oaks and beautiful pasture land. Lake Conroe supplies Houston with some of it's drinking water but has supplied Conroe with thousands of people who have and are moving into the area. Strong beliefs in the power of the Word of God and work of the Holy Spirit have been the hallmark of the church's ministries under Pastor Lloyd and Pat Maddoux. Lifestyle Christian School teaches these values K4-12 to about 200 students. We do build people and here is how; Three Sunday services, Monday: Ladies enrichment, Living free #1 ministry (life controlling problems). Tuesday: Group intercessory prayer. Wednesday: family night (Building through teaching, Royal Rangers, Missionettes, Youth meetings), Thursday: Choir and musicians practice, Living free #2 ministry. Friday: (open), and Saturday: Honorbound & Primetimers. Outreach ministries: The Father's House (a church ministering to a multiracial community in the older part of town). The International Youth Center(Using the old hospital for a food bank, thrifty shop, Housing for men in a one year discipleship training, free dental care, Hispanic church services, and an assistance program to help people. With 25 acres on I-45 freeway we plan to build a 67,000sq ft first phase building and then a church sanctuary of 22,000sq ft. Hopefully starting in November 2002. We are a church making a difference for His kingdom in our community.
